Melissa McAfee: public relations expert

Melissa McAfee, CEO and Founder of MJM Communications, is a public relations expert with a thorough knowledge and understanding of media correspondence and journalism practices. She’s built and executed successful public relations strategies for high-level accounts such as 7-Eleven, Molson Canadian and 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. She has proven her marketing prowess and media savvy skills with extensive client coverage in the Globe and Mail, Profit Magazine, Forbes and Inc. Magazine. Ms. McAfee has provided media training for executives in the resource sector, the telecommunications sector, the hospitality sector and several small-business owners throughout British Columbia.

Melissa has an international degree in journalism from the University of Queensland, and is an active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society. In 2006 she founded MJM Communications – a firm specializing in boutique PR services, and in 2007 she launched PR in a Box, a Web 2.0 platform providing PR tools for small business owners.
